How WhalesEdge Makes Money

A plain-language disclosure of our affiliate relationships, our methodology, and what this means for you as a reader.

Last updated: May 7, 2026

TL;DR

WhalesEdge is an independent online-casino research desk. We do not operate a casino. We do not accept your deposits. We earn revenue when readers we refer go on to play with our partners — Stake, BetFury, and BC.Game. Those partners pay us a percentage of their net revenue. You don't pay extra because of us. Below is exactly how it works.

What we are (and what we are not)

We are:

  • An independent review and research publication covering online casino operators (both crypto-native and traditional fiat-based, including operators with whom we hold no commercial relationship), prediction markets, and high-roller gambling strategy.
  • A social-casino layer where you can play XP-only games (Crash, Plinko, Roulette, Dice) with no real money at stake.
  • A Paper Trading sandbox for prediction markets, including Polymarket. You can practice placing positions in XP, mirroring real Polymarket data, before risking real funds elsewhere.
  • A content hub that publishes investigative breakdowns of operator Terms of Service, withdrawal policies, and VIP-program math.

We are not:

  • A licensed casino operator. We do not hold your funds, process deposits, or settle wagers in real currency.
  • A licensed broker or financial-services provider.
  • A tipster service. We do not sell guaranteed picks, sure bets, or paid signals.
  • A consumer-protection authority. If you have a dispute with an operator, your contract is with them, governed by their license terms.

What "affiliate revenue" means

When you read a review on WhalesEdge and decide to sign up with one of the operators we cover, you may be referred through a tracking link in the future. When that happens, the operator pays us a share of the net revenue they earn from your activity. This is called RevShare.

Important:

  • The operator's commission to us comes from their own margin — not from your wagers, deposits, or winnings.
  • You pay the same rake, the same house edge, the same withdrawal fees regardless of whether you sign up via WhalesEdge or directly.
  • We do not receive a cost-per-acquisition bonus that incentivizes us to push specific operators based on signup quantity.
  • If a partner offers us a tier upgrade in exchange for visibility (e.g. featured-card placement), we will note this on every affected review and on this page.

Our affiliate partners

We currently maintain RevShare relationships with three operators. All three are crypto-native and operate under offshore licenses.

Stake

  • Operator: Medium Rare N.V. with Cyprus-based subsidiaries
  • License: Curaçao OGL/2024/1451/0918
  • Governing law: Curaçao
  • Our compensation model: comp-based formula tied to house edge × wager volume × rate

BetFury

  • License: Curaçao
  • Our compensation model: tiered RevShare on net gaming revenue (default tier, special tier, and exclusive tier)
  • Notable: BetFury restricts a broad list of jurisdictions (full EU Tier-1, UK, US, Australia, Ukraine, Russia, Turkey, others). If you are in a restricted jurisdiction, BetFury is not available to you regardless of any referral.

BC.Game

  • Operator: Twocent Technology N.V. (Belize)
  • License: Anjouan
  • Governing law: Anjouan / Comoros legal framework
  • Our compensation model: differentiated rates based on game category (Original house games / 3rd-party slots & live / sportsbook)

Where you cannot sign up regardless of our coverage

We publish information about these operators globally, but operator availability is not global. Each partner publishes its own list of restricted jurisdictions. WhalesEdge has no ability to override an operator's geo-restrictions, and signing up from a restricted jurisdiction may result in account closure and forfeiture of funds — at the operator's sole discretion.

If you are reading this from a country where one of our partners does not accept players, you will find that out at signup or KYC. This page does not constitute an offer to extend services into restricted jurisdictions.

How we choose who to cover

Our editorial selection of partners is based on:

  • Crypto-native infrastructure — fast deposits, on-chain withdrawals, multi-asset support.
  • License transparency — clearly published license number and operator entity.
  • Disclosed terms — full ToS publicly available in English.
  • Track record on withdrawals — community-verified payout history we can corroborate.

Our editorial selection is not based on:

  • Highest commission rate offered to us. Higher commission would actively bias us; we publish base / special / exclusive tiers in our reviews so readers can see the math.
  • Aggressive marketing budget from the operator.
  • Personal relationships with operator marketing teams.

How we track referrals

When you click through to a partner from WhalesEdge, we use these mechanisms to attribute the referral:

  • UTM parameters in the partner URL
  • Affiliate cookies set on the partner's domain (not ours)
  • Server-side postback events from partner to our tracker when you sign up or place a first deposit

We do not track your activity on the partner's site beyond the conversion event. We do not see your bets, balances, or personal data.

Honest disclosures we publish in every operator review

We commit to surfacing the following clauses in our reviews — even when they hurt referral conversion:

  • Maximum win limits (BetFury §9.7: $300,000)
  • Monthly withdrawal caps (BC.Game §8.6: €5,000–€10,000 by VIP tier)
  • Liability caps (BC.Game §14.2: €500)
  • House-edge modification clauses (Stake §10.5: operator may modify edge without notice)
  • Final-decision clauses (Stake §13.1: management decisions are final)
  • Negligence-and-no-liability clauses (Stake §21.1)
  • Wagering rollover requirements for crypto and fiat withdrawals (typically 100%–1000% depending on category)

If a partner asks us to remove or downplay these disclosures, we will refuse and disclose the request in our next review update.

Example: in Q2 2026, BetFury asked us to soft-pedal the §9.7 max-win disclosure. We refused. Both the original disclosure and this enforcement note are now permanent on this page.

What WhalesEdge does NOT do

  • We do not accept your deposits or hold your funds at any point.
  • We do not collect or store your government-issued ID. Operator KYC happens with the operator, not with us.
  • We do not process payouts or guarantee withdrawals from any operator.
  • We do not offer financial, legal, tax, or compliance advice.
  • We do not promise outcomes. Gambling involves a mathematical house edge that ensures the operator profits over time. WhalesEdge content describes math; it does not bend it.

Who this is for

WhalesEdge is intended for adult readers (18+ in most jurisdictions, 21+ in some) who are already engaged in cryptocurrency gambling and are looking for honest research about operators. It is not designed to introduce gambling to non-gamblers.

If you suspect you have a gambling problem, consider reaching out to GamCare, Gambling Therapy, or a local equivalent. WhalesEdge is not a treatment provider and content here is not a substitute for clinical support.

Updates to this disclosure

We update this page when:

  • We add a new affiliate partner.
  • We end an affiliate relationship.
  • A partner materially changes its license, governing law, or commission structure with us.
  • We discover a previously undisclosed conflict of interest.

The Last updated date at the top of this page reflects the most recent material change.
